10 Rue d'la Madeleine is an alternative rock band from the Languedoc-Roussillon region near Nîmes .
history
The band was formed in 2006 by Brad Bronstein ( vocals ), Bill Nuggets ( guitar ), Mike Flanergan ( bass ), Andy Burke ( drums ) and Peter Goldberg ( violin ). Her first single, Vive La Commune , came out that same year and won an award for best music video. Their debut album Sur les murs was also released in 2006. Another member of the band, Eddy "Ed" Flint ( clarinet ), who joined the band shortly after the formation of the band, left after the release of their debut album. In 2007 and 2008, the band around singer Bronstein released two more singles: La Classe Américaine (released in 2007) and Ça n'a pas de prix (released in 2008). Her second studio album, which is called Comme sonny cogne , was released in 2009. Boxer Sonny Liston is depicted on the cover , the title is translated into German as: "Wie Sonny strikes" .
Andy Burke and Peter Goldberg left the band in December 2009, so the band took a break until the end of December 2010. The band now consists only of the musicians Brad Bronstein, Mike Flanergan and the drummer Tony Giordano, who has since joined them. Nuggets has left the group, so the band only works as a trio. The band also released their first EP called The Tyger .
style
The band mixes their natural music style with elements of nu metal , chanson , rap and music from the Balkans, while the music style of 10 Rue d'la Madeleine differs from the styles of bands such as Rage Against the Machine , Korn , Nirvana , Primus and System of a down is influenced.
