history

Raja Ram came up with the idea for the project during a drug trip in Brazil.

The first single of the project 1200 Mics / The Warp was released in 1999 on the TIP.World label. The project's self-titled debut album followed in 2002, also on TIP.World. The music pieces were named after the hallucinogens Ayahuasca , DMT , Mescaline , LSD , Marijuana , Hashish , Ecstasy , Magic Mushrooms and Salvia divinorum . They contained numerous quotes from the ethnobotanist Terence McKenna as well as samples from films such as Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and The Matrix .

The second album, Heroes of the Imagination, was dedicated to scientists such as Leonardo da Vinci , Galileo Galilei , Michael Faraday , Albert Einstein , Charles Babbage , Albert Hofmann , Francis Crick , James D. Watson and Tim Berners-Lee . It contained the hit Acid for Nothing , which was a trance version of Dire Straits Money for Nothing .

The third album The Time Machine was released in 2004. This was followed by a live and a remix album, before a new studio album with Magic Numbers was released in 2007 .

In November 2016 the EP Ritualism was released .
