action
In the opening scene you can see Frankie, the protagonist of the film, being knocked down by a small group of men. Whether he will survive is left open.
The rest of the film is a flashback and can be roughly divided into three parts. Frankie's troubled childhood, his time as a skinhead, and a time of change where he tries to believe in hope and love. He starts a relationship with Helen and decides to join Alcoholics Anonymous or a similar group. Helen studies art and works in a record shop. When the differences between them become too obvious, she leaves him. Frankie later joins a theater company in which he meets Mary, with whom he begins an affair. After a while, she also disregards him, but without any significant reason. He decides to apologize to her, and on the way to see her, he is matched and beaten up by his former friends.
