1717 Broadway (also Courtyard and Residence Inn Manhattan Central Park ) is a skyscraper in New York City , Manhattan . The structure was named after its address on Broadway .

The building, which is almost 230 meters high, designed by the architects Nobutaka Ashihara Associates , is the tallest hotel building in New York and replaced the Four Seasons Hotel after its completion in 2013 . There are two different hotels on the 68 floors. The construction work began in summer 2011, two construction cranes were erected by the end of October and work on the foundation and the underground floors was almost complete. Subsequently, the construction of the above-ground floors began and thus also gradually their expansion and the glass cladding. The final height of the building was reached in October 2012. The building was completed and opened in November 2013. Originally, the opening date was estimated a year later, as construction was expected to be slower.

Visually, the skyscraper on Broadway not far from Central Park is characterized by a square floor plan and a glass facade. The uniform glass facade is interrupted above 100 meters for a few floors, as there is an open atrium that represents the transition between the two hotels. There are a total of 639 hotel apartments in the building.
