Goal and rules

Current lap record holder Wildpferde from the Zeuthen sailing club with 39 laps.

The aim of the race is to sail as many laps as possible on a triangular course on the Müggelsee in 20 hours . Cabin sailing yachts that are equipped in such a way that they can have the position lights required at night are eligible to participate . In the early years, open dinghies were also permitted. The crew of each yacht consists of at least three people, at least two of whom have the necessary certificates of proficiency. The scoring takes place according to Yardstick (YS) in the YS groups up to 107, 108 to 113 and from 114. If more than three dinghy cruisers of the classes P, C, R, SR, or B or keel yachts of the type Jantar 21 start, these will be rated in a separate group.

The regatta management determines every year whether to sail clockwise or counterclockwise. The start and finish line is in front of the SGaM pier. The track marks of the course at night are marked by yellow flashes. On the north-western side of the Müggelsee, another mark in front of the Müggelsee lido in Rahnsdorf and one in front of the Müggelsee terraces (Rübezahl) on the southern side limit the course.
