The Seglergemeinschaft am Müggelsee e. V. (SGAM) is in the district of Koepenick on the northwest shore of the Great Müggelsee of resettled sailing club . The SGaM is a full member of the Berlin Sailing Association . Although the club's history only began in 1990, one can look back on several predecessor clubs from which the SGaM emerged and thus has a club history of over 100 years.

history

  • In 1894, citizens of Berlin and Friedrichshagen (who at that time still belonged to the Niederbarnim district) joined forces to form the Müggelsee Yacht Club (YCM) and acquired a half-timbered “glass pavilion” from the holdings of the 1896 trade exhibition in Treptower Park. They put it on a headland on the southern bank of the Spreegemünd (Müggelschlösschen), almost free of lease. Th. Fontane already mentioned the Müggelbuden area in his "Walks through the Mark Brandenburg". But a few years later the association had to give way because in 1901 the bank belonging to the district of Teltow / municipality of Köpenick was excavated in order to widen the Müggelgemünde for the freight transport of Rüdersdorfer building materials.
  • 1908 Foundation of the "Regattahaus am Müggelsee" association
  • In 1937 the Müggelsee yacht club and the 1921 founded association “Seglerheim am Müggelsee” VSaM merged to form the Müggel yacht club - YCM-S yacht club with the club buildings “Haus an der Müggel” and “Haus an der Spree”. The VSaM emerged from the SVaM founded in 1908.
  • In 1945 all of the associations assigned to the NSRL were initially dissolved by allied resolutions . But as early as 1946, members of former clubs founded the sailing group (SGS) on Müggelseedamm and in April 1949 the Müggelsee SGM sports community.
  • 1951 Company Sports Association (BSG) Berlin Bear unit,
  • 1953 BSG Aufbau-Bauunion / Aufbau Alex summarized under the name TGM / Training Community Müggelsee,
  • 1955/56 active regatta sailors of the TGM are transferred to the SC unit,
  • 1957 BSG Adlershof sailing section, 1955 administrative on the regatta site on Müggelschlösschenweg / west bank of the Müggelsee at the Spreetunnel-Friedrichshagen
