The EB28 is a double-seat, high-performance open class glider with a wingspan of 28 meters. The manufacturer is Binder Motorenbau GmbH in Ostheim before the Rhön. A retractable engine enables self-launch.
The EB28 is a further development of the ASH25 EB28. While some components of the Schleicher ASH 25 were still used in the ASH25 EB28 , the EB28 is a completely in-house construction, which is very similar to the ASH 25.
In 2009 the revised version EB28 Edition with improved outer wings and winglets was released. The single-seat sister model EB29 is based on the wing of this version
With a glide ratio of over 60, the EB28 is one of the most powerful two-seater gliders.
