242 West 52nd Street (also known as the Roseland Tower ) is a skyscraper under construction in New York City . The first plans were presented to the public in 2013. Official construction of the high-rise began at the end of December 2015.

242 West 52nd Street is located in Midtown Manhattan between Broadway and Eighth Avenue . According to current plans, the tower should be 206 meters high and have 62 floors. Before construction could begin, the well-known Roseland Ballhaus had to be completely demolished. Lady Gaga was the last artist to perform there before the Ballhaus officially closed on April 7, 2014.
It is planned to build a total of 426 residential units. The design was created by the architects Cetra / Ruddy. The project is being developed by Algin Management. Completion before 2018 is not expected.
