action

The four criminals Gulliver, Willy, Finn and Gael decide to rob the lockers of the Grange Hotel. Gulliver takes a room there under a false name on New Year's Eve. Early in the New Year's morning he knocks down the night porter from behind. Exactly at 2:22 am he gives his three accomplices the starting shot for the robbery.

They drill open the locks of the lockers and make rich booty. Suddenly the phone rings at reception and Gael takes the order of a sandwich for a guest. Willy brings it to him disguised as a hotel employee. A little later, the guest from room 204, Curtis, rings the night bell and Gael, also disguised as a hotel employee, lets him into the hotel. He orders a bottle of champagne to be delivered to the room. The disturbances increase considerably. Room 316 complains about the volume of the lovemaking in the next room and Curtis from room 204 calls where his champagne is. Annoyed, Gulliver, the brutal Finn and Gael make their way to the troublemakers. Finn knocks Curtis down and discovers $ 40,000, an expensive watch and half a kilo of cocaine in the room. Meanwhile, Gulliver and Gael discover a well-known actor and his personal assistant engaged in homosexual pleasure and take them both hostage as well. Gulliver decides that criminal Curtis' money and watch will be kept, but the drug will not.

Then two of Curtis' partners, for whom the cocaine is intended, ring the night bell. Gulliver won't let her into the hotel on the pretext that no guest named Curtis has checked in. He then gives the order to pack up the booty and disappear. When the four thieves stow the loot in the car, Curtis' partners open fire, shoot Gael, but are then shot. A short time later, the police arrive and begin the investigation.

Gulliver seeks out the paranoid fence Maz to sell the stolen goods. Then the life of the four takes a fatal turn. Finn sells the cocaine, which should have stayed in the hotel, to a drug dealer for $ 4,000. While leaving the building, Curtis, who wants his property back, accidentally spotted him and brutally beat him up. He reveals Willy's address. Curtis seeks him out and seriously injures him with a shot. Finn tries to escape with his family. Gulliver visits Willy, who dies in his arms. Shortly before, he was able to write the number 204 on the window with his blood.

Gulliver and Gael track down Curtis and shoot him. Some time later, Gael's friend goes shopping in the supermarket and proudly shows off her new ring. During the robbery, Gael had pocketed the ring from the booty and given it to her. Coincidentally, however, this is the ring of the separated wife of the investigating police officer, who was also a hotel guest. Exactly this policeman is in the supermarket, participates in the conversation of Gael's girlfriend and recognizes his wife's ring.

At the end of the film, Gael is arrested. A short time later there was a strong knock several times on Gulliver's front door, who was sitting in an armchair and not responding.

criticism

“A sophisticated raid in the best style of a so-called heist movie takes center stage and fills the first half before a much more brutal aftermath in the second part of the story, because you miscalculate one or the other little thing. In some moments (at first) it seems like a comedy, in others like a horror thriller. Action, suspense and surprising twists and turns are guaranteed right up to the end. "
