2WEISein - The Secret of the Red Dragon is a digital educational game and one of the first computer games in which the form of the 3D action adventure game is used for educational purposes. The then producer Brainmonster Studios (liquidated on March 10, 2014) coined the term "Adventure Learning Game" for this new form of computer game. The game was developed by game developers together with paediatricians, psychologists and educators. The German version 2WEISein - The Secret of the Red Dragon was first published on September 4th, 2008 by cdv Software Entertainment . Red Octopus - Entertainment, Music & Art has been producing and publishing the new edition of the game since 2015.

A mysterious spell lies over the beautiful island world of the Trillion and mysterious things happen. The magician Godron has stolen the book “Mathematica” and wants to use the secret knowledge of the magic of mathematics to transform the city of Asban and the entire land of Trillion into a heartless wasteland, in which everything only works according to his rules.

Game principle and technology

Different basic mathematical skills are trained in the game. The basic arithmetic operations, word problems and geometry tasks are trained, as well as increasing concentration, attention and memory as well as understanding quantities.

The mathematical content is seamlessly integrated into the course of the game. The game consists of five levels, in order to advance in the game, the player must solve the tasks. Other elements from computer games are also included: collecting items and life energy, defeating opponents, it can be played with the keyboard or a gamepad. The player can choose a girl or a boy as the character.

Production notes

Children with ADHD were involved in developing the game . Based on the children's reactions to game characters, their appearance was changed in order to avoid negative reactions.
