criticism
The e-zine Laut.de rated 4: 21… The Day After with four out of a possible five points. From the point of view of the editor Dani Fromm, Method Man is “ in excellent shape after having passed through the valley [...] ”. Both the rapper's flow and the lyrics are positively highlighted in the review. The “ acoustic guitars and strings ” in Say form “ a soulful basis for Method Man's gratifyingly unrepentant thoughtfulness ”. Let's Ride is a “ pretty R'n'B Schmonzette ”, which is accompanied by a “ relaxed piano ”. Ginuwine 's contribution to Let's Ride was rated negatively, as was Megan Rochell's “ Standard Vocal Part ” in the piece 4 Ever . From Fromm's point of view, RZA's productions are the “ densest instrumentals ” of the publication. Raekwon and LA the Darkman are recognized in the review for their contributions to The Glide . Ol 'Dirty Bastard's guest appearance on Dirty Mef is also highlighted. The early death of Ol 'Dirty Bastards " considering the common wavelength " with Method Man is particularly regrettable.
