history
The brigade was established on August 2, 1914 as the 5th mixed replacement brigade and was subordinate to the replacement division . On September 18, 1914, it was transferred to the Prussian 30th Reserve Division (main reserve Strasbourg). On January 4, 1917, the division was converted into a purely Bavarian association. She was used on the Western Front during the First World War .
