50mm film

50mm film is a photographic film that was primarily used as recording material in the early days of film .

For example, the assembled brothers Skladanowsky their projection apparatus Bioskop (1895) with 50 mm film, while Edison for its Kinetographen the bisected 70 mm - Roll film from Kodak with 35 mm started (1894), as well as the Lumiere brothers for their Cinématographe (1895 ).

Also Auguste Blaise Baron (1855-1938) produced for his Graphophonoscope (around 1898) together with the cinematographer Félix Mesguich movies on 35mm material.
