A row of commercial buildings is located at 51-65 Commercial Street in the Scottish city ​​of Dundee in the council area of the same name . In 1979 the building was included in the Scottish monument lists in the highest monument category A.

Stylistically, the row of buildings shows numerous parallels to the surrounding complexes, which were designed by the city architect William Mackison in the course of the city's modernization in 1871 . Nevertheless, Alexander Johnston was responsible for planning the row of buildings erected in 1877.

The four-story row of buildings is on the east side of Commercial Street in the center of Dundee. It takes up the entire length between the Murraygate and the Seagate and continues for a short distance along both streets. On the north side is the ensemble 73-99 Commercial Street .

The masonry consists of yellowish sandstone . The west-facing main facade is 16 axes wide. Shops are set up on the ground floor , the shop windows of which are partly decorated with cast-iron columns with composite capitals . A mezzanine is built along the Seagate . On the first floor bekrönen alternately on consoles mounted triangular pediment and segmental arched gable windows. The segment-arched windows on the second floor are with keystones , those on the third floor without keystones . Belt cornices divide the facade horizontally. A stone balustrade runs partly on the cornice . The final roofs are covered with slate and executed with arched dormers .
