Assberg
Aßberg is a part of the municipality Jandelsbrunn in the Lower Bavarian district of Freyung-Grafenau .
Aßberg is one of the so-called Seven Künische Villages , which are called so (royal = Künisch) because of their 260-year membership to Austria and thus to the Habsburgs. In 1765, Prince-Bishop Leopold Ernst Graf von Firmian bought this area back for 137,787 guilders , but without Rannariedl Castle , which exercised the lordship over these localities.
