Rosenberg (Jandelsbrunn)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rosenberg is a district of Jandelsbrunn in the Lower Bavarian district of Freyung-Grafenau in the Heindlschlag district .

The village of Rosenberg is one of the so-called Seven Künische Villages , which are called because of their 260-year membership to Austria and thus to the Habsburgs (royal = Künisch). In 1765, Prince-Bishop Leopold Ernst Graf von Firmian bought this area back for 137,787 guilders , but without Rannariedl Castle , which exercised the manorial rule over these localities.
