Heindlschlag is a part of the municipality of Jandelsbrunn in the Lower Bavarian district of Freyung-Grafenau .

history

The village is one of the so-called Seven Künischen Villages , which are called because of their 260-year membership to Austria and thus to the Habsburgs (royal = Künisch). In 1765, Prince-Bishop Leopold Ernst Graf von Firmian bought this area back for 137,787 guilders , but without Rannariedl Castle , which exercised the manorial rule over these localities.

As part of the Passau bishopric , the place was in 1803 with the largest part of the Passau area in favor of the Electorate of Salzburg by Ferdinand III. Secularized by Tuscany and fell to Bavaria in 1805 . With the formation of the communities on the basis of the second Bavarian municipality edict of 17 May 1818, the municipality Heindl blow was formed.

In the village there is the Catholic Church of the Annunciation , built in 1908 . It is a branch church of the parish Wollaberg . Your altar dates from 1933. The Heindlschlag volunteer fire brigade was founded on June 6, 1882.

On April 1, 1971, the municipality of Heindlschlag , which was part of the Wolfstein district, was incorporated into the Jandelsbrunn municipality. It had an area of ​​about 1139 hectares and the fourteen districts of Anglberg , Bognerwies , Grübwies , Grund , Grundmühle , Heindlschlag, Lenzmühle , Mitterau , Rehleiten , Rohrhof , Rosenberg , Steinerfurth , Vorderau and Wolfau .
