The A1 Homes New Zealand Open 2009 took place from August 11th to 16th, 2009 in Mount Maunganui , New Zealand . The women's squash tournament was part of the WSA World Tour 2009/10 and endowed with 26,000 US dollars. It belonged to the WSA Gold 45 category .

In the final between the two top seeded players, Natalie Grinham beat Natalie Grainger 11: 9, 11: 5 and 11: 8.

The field of participants in the women's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were starting places for qualifiers. A wildcard was not awarded.
