In ACS Catalysis , experimental and theoretical research results as well as reviews on molecules , macromolecules and substances that are catalytically active in nature are published. Areas of application are the biosciences , organometallic chemistry , synthesis , photochemistry , electrochemistry , drug design , environmental protection , polymer chemistry and energy sources .

The magazine also awards the ACS Catalysis Lectureship for the Advancement of Catalytic Science Award .
