The AEL FC Arena is a football stadium in the Greek city of Larisa . Since 2015 , after 2010 to 2013, the AE Larisa football club has been back at the venue.

The stadium was built between September 2009 and November 2010 as the new home of the Greek second division club AE Larisa . The architectural office Potiropoulos D + L architects SA was commissioned with the planning and construction . The construction costs for the 16,118-seat stadium amounted to 42 million euros . The audience capacity is expandable to a total of 18,000 seats, further one finds in the stadium 38 VIP - boxes .

The stadium is part of a complex called Crimson Park , in this park there is a cinema , an open-air theater and 12 tennis courts next to the football stadium .
Events
With four preliminary round matches and one semi-final match, the venue was one of three venues for the 2015 U-19 European Football Championship .
