ARD Pinball

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Since 2006, talented radio play makers from the independent radio play scene have been awarded the ARD's Newcomer Prize. The award was called the Internet premiere until 2012 and has been awarded under the name ARD Pinball since 2013, with partially changed criteria .

Sponsor and objective

The ARD , the Deutschlandradio and, since 2015, the ORF and the SRF award a prize for independent radio playmakers between July 1 and August 31, which is awarded under the title ARD Pinball . As the wording PiNball already suggests, the background idea of the competition is to give independent radio play producers an impetus, like a pinball machine ( pinball game ), to become active and make their short radio play heard.

The most exciting, most touching, most imaginative, liveliest - simply the best piece (up to a maximum of 20 minutes) that has been produced outside of a broadcasting company and has not yet been published is to be awarded. Works by radio play producers / makers who have already worked for ARD / Deutschlandradio are also permitted. The award is presented annually at the end of the ARD radio play days. The winner and the four finalists will be invited to the festival at the expense of ARD, where their works will be presented on site as well as in a radio program of ARD or Deutschlandradios . They are also made available to listeners on the ARD Radio Play Days website.

history

The ARD Pinball was awarded for the first time in 2013 and continues - with changed conditions of participation - the Premiere in the Net competition, which has been awarded since 2006 .

Doping

The prize is endowed with 1,000 euros, a certificate and a trophy. The winner will be invited to the festival at the expense of ARD .

procedure

In the run-up to the ARD radio play days, radio play makers can upload short radio plays of a maximum of 20 minutes on the website www.hoerspieltage.ARD.de. An independent expert jury made up of ARD / Deutschlandradio audio dramaturges, employees of the Center for Art and Media (ZKM) and the Hochschule für Gestaltung (HfG) in Karlsruhe will nominate five pieces from all contributions . From this round, the jurors determine the winner of the ARD Pinball .

The ARD PINball winning piece will be performed publicly at the ARD Radio Play Days in Karlsruhe. The author will be invited to the multi-day festival as a guest of honor and will be honored at the festive award ceremony together with the winners of the ARD German Radio Play Award , the ARD Online Award Audience Award , the Award for the Best Acting Performance and the Children's Radio Play Awards.
