A La Via is a historicizing band from the Rhineland, founded in 1997 .

With a repertoire of medieval and Renaissance music, A La Via mainly play at medieval markets , historical festivals and banquets. The name “A La Via” is old Provencal and means “on the way” or “out of the way!”.

Like many other groups in medieval music, A La Via use bagpipes and drums , but they also use a large number of different historical musical instruments. A La Via mainly create their own arrangements based on historical music. In addition to her debut album A La Via! There are numerous publications by A la Via on CD compilations.

Malleus is a medieval rock project by the groups A La Via, Annwn and Die Streuner , in which medieval pieces are interpreted with both historical and modern instruments such as electric guitar, bass and keyboard. In 2002 a three -track Maxi CD was released by Malleus , which is now out of print .
