Aarley Cross

The Aarley Cross is a basalt rock with a thank you cross located above Üdersdorf in the Vulkaneifel district in Rhineland-Palatinate . The structure lies at 560  m above sea level. NHN with a perfect view of Üdersdorf. The cross has been illuminated in winter since 1992 .

Emergence

The memorial was erected in 1949 by men from Üdersdorf who returned from the Second World War , as a thank you for their happy return.

inscription

There is an inscription on the thank you cross . This reads: IN CRUCE SALUS OUT OF GRATITUDE ESTABLISHED COMMUNITY ÜDERSDORF 1949. Above: RENEWED 1989.
