From Klink
Abraham (Ab) Klink (born November 2, 1958 in Stellendam ) is a Dutch politician of the Christian Democratic Appèl party (CDA).
Life
Klink studied sociology and law from 1978 to 1984 at the Erasmus University Rotterdam and the University of Leiden . After completing his studies, Klink worked from 1984 to 1992 at the Wetenschappelijk Instituut (German: "Scientific Institute") for the CDA and then from 1992 to 1999 at the Dutch Ministry of Justice. From 2003 to 2007 Klink was a member of the First Chamber of the States General and in 2010 a member of the Second Chamber of the States General for a few months . Klink was Minister for Health, Welfare and Sport in the Balkenende IV cabinet from February 22, 2007 to October 14, 2010 .
Ab Klink is married and lives in Capelle aan den IJssel . In 1990 he was awarded the Knight's Cross and in 2010 the Officer's Cross from the Order of Orange-Nassau .
