Abd an-Nasir Musa Abu l-Basal
Shaykh Abdel Naser Mousa Abul el Basal ( Arabic عبد الناصر موسى أبو البصل, DMG ʿAbd an-Nāṣir Mūsā Abū l-Baṣal ; born April 1, 1964 in Salt , Jordan ) is an Islamic clergyman and legal scholar. He is the President of the World Islamic Sciences and Education University (WISE) in Amman, founded in 2008 . He received his PhD in 1992 from the Faculty of Sharia at Ez-Zitouna University in Tunis , Tunisia . The Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies at the University of Sharjah in Sharjah , United Arab Emirates , of which he was Dean, is one of his places of work. He was also the dean of the Faculty of Islamic Law at Yarmuk University in Irbid , Jordan.
He has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Institute for Religious Studies in Amman, Jordan, under Prince Hassan ibn Talal since 2006 .
In 2008 he was one of the delegation participants of the 2nd seminar of the Catholic-Muslim Forum .
He is a member of the Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America (AMJA; Association of Muslim Jurists of America ) in Sacramento , California .
He was a participant of the 5th Shura Fiqh Conference in Kuwait .
