Abderrahman Kabous ( Arabic عبد الرحمن قابوس, DMG ʿAbd ar-Raḥmān Qābūs ; * April 24, 1983 in Meaux , France ) is a Moroccan football player who plays for Royal White Star Brussels in the Belgian 1st Amateur Division . Since he was born in France, he also has a French passport.
Player career
The beginnings
The Moroccan Kabous, who was born in France, played in his youth for the French first division club RC Lens . He then went to Morocco, where he took his first steps in senior football with Khémisset . In the summer of 2003 he returned to Ligue 1 and signed a contract with FC Sochaux . Although he reached the UEFA Cup with Sochaux , he did not get beyond a reserve role in only eight missions.
Detour to Spain
After the Kabous failed in France, he went to the Swedish second division club IFK Norrköping in 2005 . There he played for the first time regularly in professional football. After a year he left the team again to join the league rivals Degerfors IF , as he hoped for more opportunities there. Although he only made 2/3 of the games there, he still managed to score the first two professional goals. However, Kabous was able to recommend himself to the Bulgarian runner-up CSKA Sofia via the detour Superettan . After a successful first series, Kabous was signed by the relegation-threatened Spanish first division promoted Real Murcia without being used so far.
International
Due to his consistently good performance, Kabous was also allowed to appear for the first time for the Moroccan national team. He was also in his country's squad at the 2008 African Cup of Nations.
