Abdou Jammeh (born February 13, 1986 in Bakau ) is a Gambian football player . He has been playing for the Cypriot club Doxa Katokopia since the 2010/11 season .
Career
society
Jammeh began his professional career in 2003 in his home country with Steve Biko FC . After only one season, the defensive player moved to Tunisia where he signed with Espérance Sportive de Zarzis . He immediately won the Tunisian Presidential Cup with his new club . This qualified the team for the CAF Confederation Cup 2006 . There, however, the club was eliminated after the first round. In 2007 Jammeh then moved to Russia, where he was henceforth active for Tekstilschtschik Ivanovo . After relegating Ivanovo, he transferred to Torpedo Moscow . The right-back made his league debut for the capital club on March 27, 2008 against Nosta Novotroitsk . Again after only one year after the contract expired in December 2008, Jammeh left Russia and moved to Lierse SK in Belgium. On the first day of the new 2009/10 season, the defensive player made his EXQI League debut when he completed the full 90 minutes. After he came only a few missions during the season, Jammeh decided to leave the club again. Finally he moved to Cyprus where he is now defending Katokopia for Doxa .
National team
He worked for the Gambian national soccer team during qualification for the 2010 soccer world championship. In 2007 he was suspended for two games.
