Abdoulay Konko (born March 9, 1984 in Marseille ) is a French football player . His father is from Senegal and his mother from Morocco .

Career

Konko began his career in the youth of FC Martigues , from where he was sold to the Italian big club Juventus Turin in 2002 . The old lady first loaned the midfielder to FC Crotone , where he played for two years and made his first professional appearances. In 2006 he went to AC Siena , where he made his Serie A debut on September 10, 2006 against AC Chievo Verona . Siena won 2-1 and Konko came on for Luca Antonini in the 64th minute .

The next season Konko was under contract with CFC Genoa . In the Genoese he was a regular player and managed to stay in Serie A.

In 2008 I went to Spain . Abdoulay Konko signed with Sevilla FC , where he was allowed to play internationally for the first time. The French played through in the first leg against Red Bull Salzburg on September 18, 2008. Sevilla won 2-0. He made his debut in the Primera División on August 31, 2008 against Racing Santander . Konko played through again.

On January 21, 2011 it was announced that Konko was moving to CFC Genoa. In July 2011, Lazio announced the signing of Konko.

Konko moved to Atalanta Bergamo in the summer of 2016 . He has been without a club since 2017.
