Abdul-Kader Martini

Abdul-Kader Martini (born April 15, 1942 in Idleb , Syria ) is a Syrian-German orthopedic surgeon and hand surgeon .

Life

Martini graduated from high school in his hometown. From 1959 to 1966 he studied medicine at Damascus University . He then went to Germany. In 1972 he became a specialist in orthopedics at the Hamburg-Eppendorf University Medical Center . After that he worked in the plastic hand surgery department of the professional association accident clinic in Ludwigshafen until 1977 .

From 1977 to January 2007 he headed the hand and microsurgery section of the Orthopedic Clinic at the Heidelberg University Hospital . In 1987 he obtained the Venia legendi for orthopedics. In 1993 he was awarded the adjunct professorship . He published five textbooks and in 2006 published the journal Obere Extremität in Steinkopff Verlag.
