Abdullah Keseroğlu (born February 7, 1988 in Altınözü ) is a Turkish football player.

Career

At the age of six in 1994, Keseroğlu played for the first time with the Bambini from CfB Ford Niehl in Cologne. He spent two years there and switched to the F-Youth after he was discovered by a Leverkusen scout, to the E-Youth at Bayer 04 Leverkusen . In Leverkusen, he went through the youth team. After 12 years at Bayer 04 Leverkusen, he was drawn to the second team of Bundesliga rivals Borussia Mönchengladbach , where the defensive player was active for two years. With the foals , the midfielder rose in 2008 from the Oberliga Nordrhein to the Regionalliga West . But Keseroğlu only became a regular player in the regional league. At the beginning of the 2009/10 season he moved to the third division for VfL Osnabrück . Under coach Karsten Baumann , Keseroğlu had a hard time recommending himself for the competitive team. He made his third division debut on July 28, 2008, the second match day, against Werder Bremen's reserves . In the 1-0 win, the midfielder came on for Patrick Herrmann in the 64th minute . After only one season he moved to his Turkish homeland to the capital club MKE Ankaragücü , from where he was loaned out directly to Bugsaş Spor .

Since summer 2011 he has been active again for MKE Ankaragücü. On January 3, 2012, he made his first Süperlig championship game away from the first division club Mersin Idmanyurdu. He played the full 90 minutes and his team won with a final score of 1: 2.

After his salary was not paid for several months, he pulled the contractually stipulated option to be able to leave the club in such a case and parted ways with Ankaragücü. For the new 2012/13 season he moved to the Turkish second division club Bucaspor . Then Keseroğlu returned to Germany and joined the regional division FC 08 Homburg . In the summer break of 2014 he joined the regional league team Sportfreunde Siegen, with whom Keseroglu, however, was relegated from the Regional League West. After the season with the Sportfreunde, Keseroglu decided to quit professional football. After relegation, he moved to the Oberliga promoted SC Düsseldorf-West , where he then completed two seasons.

For the 2017/18 season, Keseroglu started his coaching career at SG Köln Worringen (Cologne District League). After the first year was only enough for 5th place in the table, in the 2nd year the deserved promotion to the regional league season 1 in Cologne took place.

successes

  • Promotion to the Regionalliga West with Borussia Mönchengladbach II: 2008 (1st place)
  • Promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga with VfL Osnabrück: 2010 (1st place)
