Abdullah Uwe Hans Peter Wagishauser (born January 14, 1950 in Neufrach ) has been the acting chairman ( Emir ) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in the Federal Republic of Germany KdöR since 1984 and lives in Groß-Gerau .

Life

Abdullah Wagishauser was born into a Christian family of civil servants who moved to Bonn in 1952 . There he graduated from secondary school, then attended a technical school until he was ready for an academy, and later the commercial college. In 1970 he left the church. He was the editor of a scene magazine with the title “Vollmond” and in the 68s he was active in the APO (Extra-Parliamentary Opposition) and worked with the Liberal Student Union of Germany . In 1972 he became a founding member of an anti-drug association in Bonn. In Bonn he also founded the communes I and II.

Wagishauser dealt a lot with politics and religion during that time. In 1976, this led him to go on a trip to India . There he mainly wanted the grave of the opinion of the Ahmadiyya in Srinagar died Jesus Christ visit. By chance he came to Qadian , the spiritual center of the Ahmadiyya movement, precisely at the time of Jalsa Salana . The behavior of the Ahmadi Muslims on the Jalsa fascinated him so much that he joined the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community shortly afterwards.

In 1979 he was elected chairman of the youth organization Khuddam ul-Ahmadiyya for Frankfurt. In 1982 the Caliphate ul-Massih IV, Mirza Tahir Ahmad , appointed him chairman of the youth organization for the entire Federal Republic of Germany.

In 1984 he was finally appointed by Mirza Tahir Ahmad as emir (chairman) of the religious community in Germany and has since been re-elected every three years. His wife, who he has been married to since 1978, is from Rabwah , Pakistan , and they have three sons together.
