Large-flowered Abelia ( Abelia × grandiflora ) is a hybrid with the parents Chinese Abelia ( Abelia chinensis ) and Abelia uniflora from the genus Abelia ( Abelia ) within the honeysuckle family (Caprifoliaceae).

The large-flowered Abelia grows as a shrub and reaches heights of 2 to 2.5 meters and a similar diameter. The Abelia × grandiflora is sensitive to frost . The curved branches have a reddish-brown bark . The shiny leaves are relatively small. The autumn color is bronze-purple.

It blooms in early summer. The sepals are pale pink and stay on the shrub when the flowers fall off. The petals are white or mauve.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 32.
