The cardiform (Dipsacales) are an order of the flowering plants .
description
They are woody or herbaceous plants . They usually have opposite leaves with compound, divided or at least notched leaf blades.
The representatives usually have five-fold flowers . The petals are fused ( sympetalie ). The ovaries are subordinate.
Systematics
The Dipsacales are the sister group of the Paracryphiales within the Euasteriden II . It contains only two families:
- Musk herb family (Adoxaceae)
- Honeysuckle family (Caprifoliaceae): the Diervillaceae , Dipsacaceae , Linnaeaceae , Morinaceae and Valerianaceae , previously run as independent families, were incorporated into the honeysuckle family .
