Architecture and history

The two-story house was built in 1889 by master mason August Meurice for R. Martini and Proelfs. The plastered building was built in the style of Italian palazzi of the Renaissance . The representative nine-axis building has a mezzanine floor . There is rustication on the facade of the ground floor . The window openings on the upper floor are provided with segment and triangular gables . The outer left axis emerges slightly as a flat risalit and contains the house entrance. On the right side there is also a flat side elevation, which, however, extends over three axes and is decorated with half-columns and pilasters . There are balusters below the central window . This side elevation is crowned with a triangular gable reminiscent of an attic .

The building is considered to be a relic of the Wilhelminian style development in the New New Town.

In the local register of monuments , the house is listed as a residence under registration number 094 76663.
