Location of Abensberg in Bavaria |
Abensberg , on the outskirts of Pfettrach , is a district of the Bavarian market Altdorf in the Landshut district .
Many prehistoric finds have been sighted between Abensberg and the adjacent Ganslberg, including a Keltenschanze there .
The settlement lies on a foothill of a glacier terminal moraine , which is recognizable as a chain of hills in the Pfettrachtal . Wine was already being grown there at the beginning of the settlement period. The Abensberg was only opened up in 1970 by a housing estate. Until then there was only one single farm, the Abensbergergütl .
