The Abitau River is an approximately 195 km long river in Canada .
As the beginning of the Abitau River, Abitau Lake is defined in the Northwest Territories . From there it flows through always uninhabited area in a westerly or southwesterly direction. It forms several smaller lakes, such as Kester Lake . In the province of Saskatchewan , the Abitau River finally flows into Tazin Lake , which is located 15 km north of Lake Athabasca .
