Aboud Rogo

Adud Rogo Mohammed (* 1968 in Siyu, Pate Island , Kenya ; † August 27, 2012 in Mombasa ) was a Kenyan Islamic ulama . Since 2012 he has been known internationally as a terrorist.

In July 2012, he was selected by the United Nations and the United States put on a sanctions list and the Security Council certain international travel restrictions and the seizure of accounts. He was accused of providing “financially, materially and logistically” support to the Somali al-Shabaab , which came together with al-Qaida in early 2012 , and of paving the way for the militias to enter Kenya. He was considered the "most important ideological leader" of the Islamic group Al-Hijra in Kenya.

Rogo was the victim of an attack in Mombasa on August 27, 2012.
