Abraham Blooteling (born December 2, 1640 in Amsterdam ; buried January 20, 1690 there ) was a Dutch etcher , mezzotint artist and engraver and publisher.

Abraham Blooteling was a student of Cornelis van Dalen and created a series of drawings after Peter Paul Rubens , which were used as models in the studios. He later turned to copperplate engraving, which he improved through his invention of the granier steel because it was more suitable for reproducing Rembrandt's chiaroscuro effects. In many of his copperplate engravings, he was also based on Bartholomeus van der Helst and Cornelis Pietersz. Bega .
