Abraham Kibiwot (born June 4, 1996 ) is a Kenyan obstacle runner .

Athletic career

Abraham Kibiwot gained his first experience at international championships at the 2013 African Youth Championships in Warri , where he finished fifth in the 2000 meter obstacle course. Two years later he won the gold medal over 3000 meters obstacle at the Junior African Championships in Addis Ababa in 8: 47.43 minutes. In 2016 he took part in the African Championships in Durban and won the bronze medal there in 8: 24.19 minutes. In 2018 he took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast for the first time , where he won the silver medal in 8: 10.62 minutes behind his compatriot Conseslus Kipruto .
