Abraham Ris

Abraham Ris (also: Abraham Ries ; * approx. 1763 in Nieder-Hagenthal , Alsace ; † April 19, 1834 in Endingen AG ) was a Swiss rabbi .

Life

From 1793 Abraham Ris was rabbi in Mühringen , from 1797 to 1813 he was regional rabbi for the Black Forest District of the Teutonic Order , based temporarily in Mühringen, temporarily in Nordstetten (Nordstetten 1803-1806).

In 1812 he got a job as a senior teacher and rabbinical assistant in Endingen and then in 1813 became a rabbi in the Surb valley with responsibility for Endingen and Lengnau , an activity that he carried out until the end of his life. From 1819 he was chief rabbi in Endingen.

Abraham Ris was the son of Raphael Ris . Abraham's grandfather was also named Abraham Ris.
