Abraham Tictin
Abraham Tiktin (full name Abraham ben Gedaliah Tiktin , born on December 24, 1764 in Schwersenz ; died on December 27, 1820 in Breslau ) was a Talmudist and since 1816 chief rabbi in Breslau.
Tiktin was appointed rabbi in Glogau in 1811 . On September 5, 1816, King Friedrich Wilhelm III appointed. him by rescript to the state rabbi for the province of Silesia based in Wroclaw. Tiktin held this position until his death.
Tiktin was the author of several books, only one of which, however , appeared in print, entitled Petaḥ ha-Bayit (1820), which was a treatise on Shulchan Aruch .
