Abraham de Bruyn (* 1538 in Antwerp , † 1587 in Cologne ) was a Flemish painter and engraver .

He was the father of Nicolaus de Bruyn , who was also known as an engraver.

De Bruyn moved to Cologne from 1577, but was also active in Antwerp beyond that date. His works in the Renaissance style are in the tradition of the Wierix School.

De Bruyn's best-known work is a costume book with the title “Imperii ac sacerdotii ornatus, diversarum item gentium peculiaris vestitus”, which was created in Cologne in 1578 on behalf of Cologne's Archbishop Gebhard Truchsess von Waldburg . He often signed his works with the abbreviation A de B fe.
