Philip owns a renowned art gallery in Boston and Simon is a primary school teacher. In this house, education and culture, but also ethical values such as tolerance, are very important. Bobby is a bartender at his parents Audrey and Mace's Irish pub. His younger sister Maddy also works in the family business. Both parents' ancestors are from Ireland . The parents are Catholic and represent the lower middle class. So the families of the two do not really fit together, but for the sake of their children the parents try to come to terms.
