Bobby O'Neill and Liz Stoddard-Banks are engaged. Liz is a Harvard psychology student . After the death of her single mother, she was adopted as a young child by the gay couple Philip Stoddard and Simon Banks. Philip owns a renowned art gallery in Boston and Simon is a primary school teacher. In this house, education and culture, but also ethical values ​​such as tolerance, are very important. Bobby is a bartender at his parents Audrey and Mace's Irish pub. His younger sister Maddy also works in the family business. Both parents' ancestors are from Ireland .
