Academia Publishing House
The Academia Publishing is a scientific publisher , of his seat by the end of 2017 in Sankt Augustin , had been managing director Jürgen Richarz. At the beginning of 2018, Academia Verlag was taken over by Nomos Verlag in Baden-Baden and continued as an imprint . The publisher's works are made available electronically via the Nomos eLibrary.
history
The publishing house was founded in Sankt Augustin in 1988. The predecessor was the publishing house Hans Richarz, which dates back to 1967. This specialized in large prints and was the market leader at the time . In 1987 it went up in the CW Niemeyer book publisher . Richarz then focused on a science program. In 1988 it was converted into a GmbH .

The publisher publishes academic books and magazines with a focus on philosophy , sports science , pedagogy , political science , history , musicology and anthropology . Several series of books are also published. There is a close cooperation with the Liberal Institute of Publications of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom .
