The Achaean Range is a mountain range that rises up to 1,370 m high in the center of Anvers Island in the Palmer Archipelago . The range is bounded in the east by the Iliad Glacier and the Trojan Range , in the west by the Marr-Piedmont Glacier . It extends from Mount Agamemnon 10 km to the northwest, and then turns northeast for another 19 km to Mount Nestor .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out measurements of the range in 1955. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them after the Greek Achaeans who went to the Trojan War in Homer's Iliad .
