Mount Nestor is a 1250 m (according to British data 1280 m ) high and snow-covered mountain on the Anvers Island in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It marks the northern end of the Achaean Range . Its eastern flank is characterized by a tangle of crevasses and jagged rocky outcrops.
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out a survey of the mountain in 1955. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1957 after the Greek military leader Nestor from Homer's Iliad .
