The Acheron River is a river in the southwest of the Australian state of Tasmania .

geography

The river has its source on the southern slopes of the O'Boyles Sugarloaf in the center of Franklin Gordon Wild Rivers National Park and flows south-southeast. About one kilometer northeast of Abel Peak it flows into the Jane River .
