The three axillary heads are up to 1710  m high part of the ridge of the Benediktenwandgruppe in the Bavarian Prealps between the Benediktenwand main summit and the Latschenkopf .

The heads can be reached from the Tutzinger Hütte or from Brauneck ; this mountain hike requires surefootedness. Usually the armpit heads are crossed on the way from Benediktenwand to Brauneck or vice versa. The armpit heads can also be bypassed on the north side.
