Ad Inferna was a French metal band. In 2015 it was dissolved.

history

Ad Inferna was originally founded in 1996 as "De Profundis" and published the debut album Siècles de Cendres under this name in 1998 , which was re-released under the new name after the renaming in 2000.

The actual first album under the name Ad Inferna was released in 2002 on the German label Silverdust Records. The style on L'empire des Sens was dark metal and the band has been compared to Dimmu Borgir and Catamenia .

After the band had split up in the meantime and paused from 2003 to 2008, the second studio album Trance 'n' Dance showed a clear style change towards techno and dance elements, while the dark metal elements receded significantly.

The band has remained largely true to this style on the following albums.
