Adalbert Steffter

Adalbert Steffter (born June 19, 1868 in Munich ; † after 1930) was a German actor and theater director .

Life

Steffter attended the Sulkowsky Theater School in Austria before he had his first appearances in Mödling, Austria , between 1883 and 1885. Until 1898 he received various engagements, including in Budapest , Vienna, Berlin, Dresden and Hamburg . He then worked both as an actor and as a director, first in Hanover at the Residenztheater there , then at the Vienna Court Theater .

In the middle of the First World War , Steffter took over the management of the local theater in Hanau in 1917 and at the same time the management of the Princely Playhouse in Putbus .

Also from 1917 to 1930 Adalbert Steffter directed the Bonn operetta theater in Bonn before he - again in Hanover - worked as senior director at the Mellini Theater .
